“ Homy cooking - like it said in the name - cuisine like at Grandma’s - we ordered small starters and fish and chips - the tuna tartare is superb and the chips is a clearly homemade. Good atmosphere and loved the menu cards (inserted into wonderful kids’ books which even I read with high interest while waiting and our toddler loved it) ”
“ Lovely friendly restaurant, delicious food and tasty wine. This restaurant has a great quirky feel with unique decor and live jazz playing on a Monday evening. We'll be back ”
“ Don‘t trust the first glance - this place is a lot more than you think at first! It can get very busy and still remains a mom and pop place with a waiters in all sorts of old timey aprons, fun decor and the matching friendliness! And the food - simply excellent. Down-to-earth dishes, high quality products and a price-value that will make it easy to order two desserts ;) We were here twice already and will come back! ”
“ I can only recommend, nice Place. Next Time in La Rochelle I will be back. Wine and Food for me best in La Rochelle. All Tatars to be recommended. ”
“ We liked the look on Google Maps, so went on spec, which was a mistake as it was heaving, but being only a couple we soon got seated. We both decided to try the mussels. Angie had the Marinieres style, while I had the curried style. Both were very tasty and a good portion. It was a great atmosphere with the waiters all dressed in 1940s ladies house coats. We will be back. ”
“ Nice little find. We had a couple beers and some calamari. The theme of the restaurant was interesting. When we arrived they didn't look very open, but they seated us regardless and made us feel welcome. We came a second time closer to dinner and it was great. We had a selection of meats from the sea and land and it was lovely. The staff were incredibly friendly. ”
“ Excellent good value food. Nothing pretentious. It doesn’t pretend to be A La carte. But it is good. Very good. It’s our second night here on the trot! And the service is rather good. ”
